Hey everyone. . Hows it goin . .

Just signed up to get some info. . looking for a new daily. . always like the second Gen BH protege's. . need something really good on gas yes has a bit of modern styling. . Just looking to get a basic Z5 1.5l Version. .

A BIt of background. I build and drift Cressidas. . my personal Drift car is a 1.5JZ (1JZ head on a 2JZ bottom) 6 speed single turboed 89 cressida with over 400hp. .I manufacture parts for these cars. . mainly suspension to make them driftable etc. . I also have an 85 Cressida wagon that is getting bagged and LS6 (eventually) but is currently just slammed and "fitted"

Also used to daily probably the coolest MPV on the planet.. STANCE coilovers Slammed on 18x9/10 MAE dish's. . Recaro's, Nardi Wheel, etc. .

Currently dailying another Cressida. . I love the luxury and style. .but recently moved further from my daytime job, and is killing me in fuel costs. .So im wanna build a cool little fuel efficient runabout while still having one of my two other cressidas for evening and weekend use. .

    ANYWAYS. .

Here are a few pics. . So y'all know im not some chump. .

            Welcome fellow 2nd gen lover

2nd gens aren't that bad really, I have a 1998 LX. 1.5L, auto, power windows/locks/mirrors. Very fuel efficient. Only bad part is there's really nothing out there to make these cool, unless you're good with custom work, besides some JDM stuff.

But since you make parts for the other cars, maybe you could start making some for us 2nd genners? Haha.

Haha thanks for the props guys. .No i dont plan on making anything for these cars. . But custom work is my specialty. . Everything on the Van and Wagon were custom Fabbed.. And all my protoypting for the products is done by me..

Reason for me goin to a second gen is. . My GF used to have a 1st Gen 1.8 and i Absolutely loved that car for daily use. . Peppy, quick steering, great on gas etc. . BUUUUUUUT honesly they are too dated looking. . jsut looks old already.. i mean its 2010. . And the third gen's are out of my price range and the fact they come 5 bolt is just too tempting to make it crazy looking (ANOTHER waste of money). . I wouldn't be happy with a base model 4 bolt 3rd gen. . (i also dont really like the look of them. .). So Second Gen it is.. and. . its sort of the forgotten model. . and NOBODY has a cool looking one.. Not that i've seen anyways. . So i figured its an easy car to make dope. .IF i actually do anything to it BASICALLY i want an ultra clean SUPER low (full coilovers) wide stanced/small rimmed (15x8 or more with teenie offsets) lots of camber. . daily that is ridiculous on gas. . THEN maybe a homebuilt budget turbo setup. . I've researched as much as i could on ANYBODY turboing the Z5 and so far have come up empty as far as success goes. .I used to run a shop and we were honestly one of the first that turboed a stock P5 with a modified prelude manifold and a Greddy emanage. . 15lbs of boost. and actually lasted a long assed time. . longer than some of the built motors we had.. Although there is literally nothing that can make a FS last under boost. We've built ones and rebuilt ones that were built. .

ANYWAYS. . canned/wide small wheels/put my recaros in it maybe. . steering wheel/stereo/ and then MAYBE a small turbo kit just to give it like 150hp or something. .

I can't remember where I saw it, but someone tried to turbo a Z5 before and had tone of trouble, kept blowing the engine. With no aftermarket internals I'm not sure how much it can handle. lso, a custom turbo manifold will have to be made, but I'm sure you already knew that.

Why not find an MX-3? They were way ahead of the times for a 90-96 model car. Sporty, not square. Comes with a 1.6 4cyl (rs model), or 1.8 v6 (gs or se model). Both are easily slammable, and have support for turbo in both 4cy and v6 variants. Or you could always swap in a 1.8BP 4cyl + stock GTX turbo goodies with ease (rs model). Or use a probe style turbo kit, and theres a drop in 2.5l v6 upgrade too (gs/se model).

                            Just an option.
