First time BG owner from Macon, GA.

Well I've been looking for a fun little car to have some fun with while still getting good gas mileage. Two of my friends kept talking about the protege and how easy and cheap they were to modify and maintain. So while cruising craigslist, I found one for $1025 owned by an elderly gentleman. The thing was bone stock, and I mean bone stock. It still had the original AM/FM tape deck and speakers, and a shifter that was sloppier than a 60 year old pornstar's snatch after a DVDA Gangbang. But it ran like a top, and we were able to talk him down to $925.

I've since installed new speakers, replaced the shifter bushings with the bronze units from Corksport, picked up a set of Escort GT sideskirts, and ZX2 front sway bar, from a local auto salvage yard, and got the ZX2 poly bushing kit from Energy Suspension which will be going in soon. Trying to track down a place to order some ZX2 S/R struts, and a decent set of springs to go with them. Truthfully I want this thing to handle the speed can come later. What are some of the j/y brake upgrades that I could pick up? Part Numbers, years, and models of cars to keep an eye out for. I read through the post in the suspension and handling section but there was a bit of mis-information and not a lot of solid answers.

P.S. Anybody know where I could possibly get a Euro Familia GTR half cut?
