Newly Joined With a Mystery

Greetings: I recently purchased what is badged as a 1998 Protege lx touring edition. However, it has the 1.8l engine. It has all disc brakes and they are 10" discs. The research I did says it's a ES, my mechanic who fixed my brakes, says its a sport. But I find no listing for a 1998 sport. Any light to shed on my dimness??

Welcome

Sounds like the ES model we got here in the States. It has the 1.8L, four wheel disc with larger front rotors than LX and DX, rear sway bar, etc. Never heard of a "Sport" trim level, though.
