new member here from southern California.
I found this site while surfing Google for emissions info on my Protege. Very cool to find enthusists. My old lady didnt believe in my little mazda zippy doodle bang bang automobile.
My immediate problem or question that I'm researching is my 93 Protege Lx 1.8 sohc manual trans failed the State annual emmisions inspection because the inspector noted the wrong ignition timing recorded at 99+ degree btdc. All dynamic testing on the dyno and all exhaust gas samples tested Passed.... Only visual check of timing was noted for failure. Otherwise the car seems to operate and function normally! Hopefully I can find some good info and asvice within this forum. I already have enjoyed some of the various threads of others rides and their Mazda experiences.
