There is a lot of them in SFL and most besides westpalmGT don't post a whole lot of the forums because most of their ideas are unconventional and the forums usually don't take well to new and unaccepted ideas.

Just like people said I couldn't make the guages work on a 323 body harness, yet I did

ive been told that many times as well, my old car an 86 hyundai that is rwd. was told that i couldnt put a fwd fuel injected motor in it. i did and that motor was in there for 10 years and the current motor, 4g63t was also a motor that wouldnt go in there and its in there. not finished but in it. i have always liked seeing the unconventional and people who make the uncommon work and work well. mad props to all and too bad some people are to ignorant to see what can be done.

so i have the opportunity to pick up a stock '93 PGT transmission for a great price ($50).

my '93 626 trans works perfectly fine, but as we know the PGT and MX3 supposedly have a shorter final drive. is it worth the gains? you guys think i will actually notice a difference?

Yes, Piers overseas noticed a big difference on his MX6 going to an MX3 transmission.

I'd do it without thinking twice. There's a big reason i'm using the MX3 trans on the Escort, and it wasn't just because i already had one.

For $50, it's a no brainer. That's a lot of performance increase for the dollar.

for $50 pick it up! even if you don't need a trans lol

Truthfully Ive seen vids of some dood on PT.. I think it was blacshine or something that ran slower with the PGT/MX3 trans.. I would much rather have the 626/mx6 trans personally.. But to each there own.

yea same, I'd rather have the 626/mx6 trans setup as well...just me from personal experience I guess lol.

For a turbo application, i'd rather have the longer gears of the 626/MX6 trans. For n/a, tight gears all the way.
