the ends were actually about the same length. same thread pitch as the BF tie rods so i just bought new BG ones and loosened them out to straighten the wheels, if that makes sense. if you look closely in the picture of the one installed you can see the rusty/dirty threads where the old BF ends were.
the main difference between the two is how many threads are on the bushing where the castle nut goes.
this side could probably use one turn back in.
and just a side shot for ****s and giggles.

yeah man get that toe all straightened out, that will eat your tires fast if it isn't. don't visual it either, measure that shiz up, two straight pins in the tread facing the front bumper. measure the pins, then roll it backwards (so the pins don't hit the ground) and then measure it again. then you know how much to turn it in or out.
also do it with the car on the ground.2011 BMW 128i 6 Speed Manual -- dd

Make sure you have sharp bits that are intended for that material, and use some cutting oil. Start with a pilot hole, then work your way to a larger hole. I know this is going to sound crazy, but I've seen a lot of people here at work try to drill with the tool spinning in the wrong direction. We usually get a few good minutes of entertainment out of it.
