You can order them online or find local dealers on their websites. There's a local Red Line dealer 8 miles from my home.

How about finding an online dealer, contacting him by phone and paying for it with a postal money order? No effort is too great to obtain the best when it comes to our Proteges.

royal purple has a lotta ad hype. I just did an oilchange and.am using that German stuff, lubro moly in 15-40. zero hla noise on coldstart, if it's good enough for AMG it's good enough for me...
'90 AWD Protege, full GTR drivetrain swap, ~320 whp daily driver, RIP, and
'90 AWD Protege, yet another GTR swap, Open class rallycar with a Toyota GT4 gearbox swap, thus crossing the line between hobby and mental illness. And a Brabus E55 K8, removing all doubt.

I heard Royal Purple voids the warranty on Banks diesel stuff due to coking. I stopped using it. Coould just be a rumour though.

I doubt it would void a warranty or cook seals it's just oil. but in my immediate area it's royal purple or mobile 1 and I choose royal purple in everything but my 323 and protege. I even ran it in my 91 civic . They're all good oils it's more of opinion on which is better

Some oils are better than others, but as long as you're not putting the engine through a harsh beatdown constantly, you should be fine with any of the oils like mobil 1, redline, royal purple etc... I went with Amsoil because their 5-40 oil has a very long life. It's spec'd for the european cars with like 25,000 mile drain intervals. Both my BG's sit for up to 6 months at a time in the winter, and I want an oil that will not break down at all over the winter, and still be "good as new" come spring time when I fire the car up for the first time.
