i did replace it with a straight hose. ive been checking it today while driving and it hasn't kinked. i probably should go get bent piece just to be safe.

had a little bit of a learning experience today. last week i replaced the hose that goes from my bypass valve to the intake with one that is the same size as the bypass valve outlet, i have a saab 900 turbo bpv. i thought the bigger hose would allow more airflow...wrong. after doing this i noticed an increase in acceleration but had no top end. so today went back to the same size hose as the original and...voila i have top end again. well, as much top end as a vj-14 has. all in all a good learning experience.

What, pray tell, are they engineering? I mean, when I send my **** out to get rebuilt, it is usually done by some guy in poor health (AND missing the tip of at least ONE finger), who just seems to be doing things in "automatic mode". What feats of technological wizardry have you achieved / procured with the almighty dollar / rand?

Are we to be lavished with tales of rare-earth metals? Alloys? Precise, laser cut journals upon molecularly balanced... stems/rods/widgets? Have you not uncovered the secrets behind some secret meeting of F1 engineers?

I wait with baited breath of your findings.

Nothing as exciting as that just, just a re-bore and crank grind. Maybe the Cams re-ground too, and a custom copper head gasket made for it, We don't get all the nice bits over here like you guys get and if we do it is at a price. There are only 5 GTX's in the whole country so they are very rare here and not many parts for them. I have had my rods shortened and am using Protege MZ pistons, which gives me a CR of 8.8:1. I am also looking into using Volvo S40 T4 front rotors (281mm x 24mm) and possibly BMW 5 series front calipers as a brake upgrade. I think I will need 16" wheels though, maybe 15" will fit.

Continued gently removing the inner sills to allow repair/replacement. Curiously peeling back all the 'repairs' layer by layer...

I think she overheard me talking about getting rid of her.

Popped the headgasket around cyl 3. It went through over a half gal of coolant in 6 miles.

I've been messing with adjusting (fine-tuning) the manual boost controller so that I don't over boost. Having some difficulty getting it in "the zone" that I want. I'll get there someday.

Get in line..... actually, I honestly think no more new ones exist. They stopped selling them years ago. I haven't looked recently, but I think the only way you might get on is for one of these other members to have there BF rear-ended (totaled) and then they might sell theirs.
