    injectors

My 1992 ford escort pony enduro car is running VERY lean! What size injectors are stock for the car? I'd like to replace them with slightly bigger ones.

Your better off on feoa.net for that question. The mazda style injectors are measured in ccs and the ford style are measured in lbs.

what does 280cc convert to in lbs? im just wondering how extreme 5.0 injectors would be. sounds like a little overkill unless the motor is built.

              Conversion Formulas

To convert cc / min to lbs. / hr. - Divide by 10.5
To convert lbs. / hr to gal. / hr. - Divide by 6
To convert cc / min to gal. / hr. - Multiply by .015873

Technically, there's something wrong, but I made it that way. I am running a '95 computer (better fuel maps), a '97 MAF (bigger diameter than stock, so more air.), and stock injectors. I know that it's running lean from using the '97 MAF. It's calibrated differently. I just want to know what injectors would be a step up from what I have. But I can't go too big, as it's still a basically stock motor. Besides the modifications above, I cut out the bottom of my air box (every thing has to "appear" stock, so I can't run a cone or cold air system.), gutted cat, muffler delete, and a side pipe exhaust.

Thought about it, but I don't think that it will pass inspection. It would be too big, and I'd have to port the manifold, which I don't think I feel I'm up to yet. And I can't find an inexpensive one anywhere. I'm on a tight budget....

you can switch to the 2.0 injectors but you need a fuel rail from a 97 or something like that.
