    Ford Escort GT turbo issue

I have a 1991 ford escort gt with the original bp motor. It is turboed with the whole nine yards. Anyways i had my whole set up on a 93gt and drove it til i blew up the bottom end. It still ran just had a knock on it. i took everything off the 93: head with intake manifold and injectors still attached, turbo, manifold, wiring harness, ecu and put it on my 91gt. I am having issues starting the car now. I have checked spark and fuel and know i have that. Also i have set the timing belt to spec as per escort manual. (Placed car at tdc and lined up the cam gears properly). It does turn over with no issue.

The car has good compression, pulled fuel rail and watched injectors and pulled the spark plugs and tested spark.

I checked the ecu and it is throwing 2 codes. 25 which says it is fuel pressure regulator solenoid and code 41.

Does anyone have input on what could be the issue? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It currently has the stock gt ecu. I have megasquirt to install once I know it starts.I wanted to make sure it started and driveable before I added it. I really didn't expect it to not start.

If your running the stock gt ecu why did you switch over wiring harnesses?

Everything was originally on the 91gt. When I purchased the 93 I took everything off the 91 and put it on the 93. Now the 93 is blown so I wanted to switch it all back with exception of the block. I'm currently stripping the 93 down taking everything off the car. And having a junkyard pick up the frame because it has frame damage.

I know kind of a strange deal but I wanted to put all known running parts on the 91.

            Stock GT ECU = failorama

Did you try putting in a new FPR solenoid?

I swapped the fuel pressure regulator. But I am unaware where the solenoid is located. Does anyone know where the solenoid is?

Check your flow meter. If it's connected ok move it around.

I just swapped everthing from a 94 to a 91 escort gt and the wiring harness for the cars are different. The white plug is different on the engine harness were it plugs into car under dash. The fuel pump worked it had power to coil but would not run had to rewire the white plug and a few wires were different colors but finally got it all to work.
                  idk if same on 93.

Maybe its like that because they switched the dash to a passenger side air bag.

The FPR solenoid is next to the VICS solenoid on the intake manifold.

                              Probably.
