My first car was a 1977 Volvo 242 DL 4 speed. Was blue inside and out was pretty reliable and loved it, but i totaled it trying to make a drift on wet pavement then I had a 1984 Nissan Sentra 5 speed that my grandfather gave me (god bless him) That little car was slow as hell but it was very easy on gas I sold it because i needed money and at the same time i had a 1988 Jeep Cherokee (P.O.S.) Man, i wish that i had kept the sentra and sold the *****ng 4x4 because it let me stranded so many times. Then I had a 1992 Pontiac Sunbird 5 speed(P.O.S.) that i bought for $200 and sold it in $500 in a month and last but not least I have a 1989 Plymouth sundance RS that I got dirt cheap and was starting to fix it because it has been on the family since new and kept on going but the papers went missing and i bought my other cars (the pro and the 1994 Mustang) so it now sits on my backyard waiting for election day to be destroyed!

I had a 95 dodge ram 318 5-speed. I never actually drove it, but it was sold for a 95 tracer 1.9 auto. Had a little fender bender in a parking lot and traded my sister for her 93 tracer 1.9 auto. That transmission crapped out about 9 months later, so it sat for at least a year. Finally I swapped a five-speed in it. But, this past year had some personal stuff happen, Car ended up sitting at my sisters house and she said it had to be moved. She says, send me the title and ill sell it for ya. So i do it and i call her a couple of weeks later and ask her how its going, and the dirty $%^$%^^ says she junked it WTF!
Bought my 92 pro lx some time between when my tracers tranny blew up and when i finally fixed it. I forget now but somewhere in between there and here ive owned a 90 honda accord auto $50, 87 Ford ranger 2.0 5-speed $50, 87 dakota 5-speed v6 carbed ( talk about ****ty gas mileage). I also own a 71 honda cb350 that im currently getting the run around trying to get a title for.

Had a '65 mustang, loved it but it did leave me stranded on the highway once. Just stalled at 60 mph with no warning. Sitting on the shoulder, it would start no problem, but died as soon as I put it in gear or touched the throttle. Looooong walk home in the dark. After towing it home, I eventually found the carburator float had developed a pinhole leak, allowing it to fill with gas. With the float sunk, it would let in just enough fuel to idle with no load.
'85 (I think) Renault Le Car. Love/hate. Manual transmission ate itself up on the highway. Almost made it home before it completely seized.
'72 Buick LeSabre. Loved the 455 cid power. Piston seized and threw a rod cap through the oil pan, on the way home from work.
'72 International Scout II. Loved it. Throttle cable broke driving to school one day. I routed it in through the window and used my hand to control the throttle.
That's just a few....

You are not going to believe this, but I went outside to the plymouth and put a booster pack to see if the engine locked up. I started it and then guess what? the thing ran!. It's been almost a year I ran it so I guessed it would be dead by now! but the d@mn thing doesn't give up! Too bad it doesn't have papers.
I guess I have the only Chrysler that was built with good parts!Last edited by edumspeed; 04-04-2008, 09:46 AM.sigpic My cardomain

1993 Mazda 323!
suppose the car itself is OK...I drive it pretty much pinned and it's held together for 360K but info from the dealer sucks! And this forum here.....well figure it out for yerself and then ask the guys who get ridiculed by the "wizards" for asking a "dumb" question.
Going to finish the swap and dump it. The rear wheel drive project is in the works and the related forum a bit more mature and intelligent...
All part of whether you "like" the car or not.
If the friggin boot fits, wear it, and to the guys who helped on this project; many thanks and I hope I have the opportunity to return the deed some day!

i had a 93 dodge shadow, picked it up for like 300 bucks, let the girlfriend borrow it (never do that) she drove it to her mom's, when she came back, she told me she was going down a hill when she swears "the breaks did work at all" so she just threw it up in park at about 20 mph. but the thing made it home, and i decided to try and nurse it to work so i could put up on the lift and see just how bad she screwed it up, made it about 20 miles, then on the most desolate deserted streach of road, it just started revving and not going anywhere, i pulled it over and looked underneath, and tranny fluid was falling to the ground like i was pouring it out of a bucket. that was the last car of mine she borrowed. lol

93 323 boosted, 97 protege BP swapped, 99 f150 work truck piece of ****, 94 toyota 4x4 worktruck, meh its better than the f150 but is still a piece of ****.I live my life a quarter pounder at a time. And for those 500 calories or more, I'm free. I need FRIES! Two of them. The big ones. Oh, and I need them tonight. You're lucky the double shot of BBQ sauce didn't blow the seam on your nugget box. There she is, 2 pounds of pure beef. My dad ate it in 9.0 seconds flat. Check it out, it's like this. If I lose, winner takes my happy meal. But if I win, I take the burger and the toy. To some people, that's more important.
