I had the exact same thing happen with my 626. I just built up a ball of weld on the end of the bolt until I could get a good grip with vice grips. The aluminum block dissipates heat well, so it doesn't get messed up when you weld on the bolt.
I was able to get it out with the engine in the bay. I was close to pulling it so I could drill it out. The weld method worked surprisingly well.
