Bought ****s for it.
1) MSM bilsteins
2) sleeves for said bilsteins
3) 8 pairs of springs to mix and match (Shooting for a 550/400 setup)
4) NB top hats
5) clutch slave and master cylinders from 949 Racing
6) Amsoil trans, diff, and DOT4 fluid
This thing is going to be hilarious.
Oh, and found an old dyno chart. Seems like obnoxious power for 10psi out of a tiny 2554r.

discovered while reinstalling the wiring harness Monday that the knock sensor was missing, so I spent yesterday pulling the intake manifold to install the one from the old engine. also noticed that my oil pan is dented in pretty badly- not sure if it'll cause a problem with the oil pump pickup, so I may have to pull the pan to hammer the dent back out, which is exciting.sigpic

Haven't been on for awhile, but I been keeping busy....
Started with the beginning of another restoration
Built a Chevy 377 Stroker and put it into an El-Camino and installed digital gauges
Took The Trucks out this winter
Watched a few sunsets, Drank some beer with the fam
And a ****ton more random work

pulled the oil pan off of the horrible Nissan today, there's way more room than I expected between the bottom of the pan and the pickup so I probably could have gotten away with not hammering it back out, oh well. gonna get an oil return welded on hopefully this weekend- assuming I don't blow this motor up at the first event (like last year), it's getting a snail this summer.sigpic

Thanks :-), everyone has their preferences though, the engine was quite a fun build. Based on a Nascar design that damn engine would rap out to 13k RPM's. Put a line lock in her and the burnout competition was on the bag. 400RWHP :-P what's the deal on that Nissan? never got down to the story on that... Or I was too drunk to remember. Not What you build, But HOW.

it's been a miserable pile of **** since I bought it, just like every other Nissan I've owned.
short version:
- did manual swap, coils, welded diff, replaced freeze plugs.
- take to track for first drift event: power steering intermittent, heater core blows, caliper hangs up so no e-brake, down on power, clutch feels weird
- install adjustable suspension arms, replace crimped power steering line, replace caliper and rear pads, discover blown head gasket
- pull head and take to machine shop, head is so warped that it has to be straightened. go to reinstall head, strip threads out of head for upper idler pulley. discover internal seal on clutch master is bad after replacing slave and bleeding system a million times- no leaks and it was a brand new master, never would have thought to check there but I was driving myself crazy over it.
- buy new engine, find that the bad clutch master had destroyed the clutch, flywheel, and TOB on the old motor. curse out stupid-ass auto pilot bushing for a few months.
- install new engine, notice while working on other **** that someone jacked the motor up by the pan at one point. pull pan, add -10 AN bung for oil return while I' m in there.
- you are here
now that the pan's done, I can put it back on this week and finish buttoning the motor up. gotta install the header and finish up the exhaust, install the new PBM tension rods, put in the new steering wheel hub and clearance the WB spacer for the horn button, and get the cooling system back in. not sure if I'm going to keep the stock radiator or just order an aluminum jam since it's getting boost this summer, but I'd like to have it back together and running within the next two weeks so I can get it plates and drive it around a bit before the first event of the season.sigpic

1) Changed the oil. (OEM Nippon filter and Rotella T6)
2) Changed diff fluid. (Amsoil SVG)
3) Changed trans fluid. (Amsoil MTG)
4) Replaced shifter bushing and turret fluid. (5X Racing bronzoil bushing and Amsoil MTG)
5) Replaced clutch master and slave cylinders, flushed and bled line (OEM hydraulics, Amsoil Dot4)
6) Removed the horrible stupid ugly front license plate bracket
And 7) Found more modz, bruh. Apparently the car has a huge front Racing Beat sway bar with Racing Beat endlinks, and some sort of tubular rear subframe brace.
Shift feel is much improved, clutch pedal still needs adjusting at a minimum, going to try that this coming weekend. If no love, i'm ripping this damn FM clutch out and moving to a 949Racing clutch.
Also found out about what i can expect when i get VICS functional. Red line with VICS. Blue line without. You know... because the 2554r car needed more low and midrange power.

did a bunch of **** to the horrible Nissan. easier to say what's left:
-fill with gear oil/install shifter
-install new tension rods
-oil/filter/find drain plug
-drain/refill coolant overflow
-tighten fan bolts
-tighten p/s belt (also, possibly swap p/s pumps)
-clearance floor for header, heat wrap header, put baller-ass good reflective tape on floor
-go over all suspension arms again
-install battery
-do sick burnoutssigpic

Gave Moby the White Whale a valve lash adjustment. I haven't had to do that ish since my hotrod 510 in the figgin '80's. One less thing to worry about, only 5 valves were out by maybe .010 and none were tight. We're gettin ready to do a truly epic roadtrip soon so there's a lot more things that are gonna get checked...'90 AWD Protege, full GTR drivetrain swap, ~320 whp daily driver, RIP, and
'90 AWD Protege, yet another GTR swap, Open class rallycar with a Toyota GT4 gearbox swap, thus crossing the line between hobby and mental illness. And a Brabus E55 K8, removing all doubt.
