It seems like it would be simple enough to make a bracket to hold the disty, then it would be a matter of running a belt-drive setup to go from the cam gear to the end of the disty like the 20V 86 nerds do... how hard could it be?
I do wish there were some way to just use a CAS and coil packs with the GTR computer thoughsigpic

I'd prefer not to- makes basic maintenance harder, plus then I have to worry about it interfering with the wiper linkage. I mean, as a last resort, sure, but I've seen them run off of the front of the cam before so it's definitely possible.sigpic

Drove the Volvo in light snow this morning. It remained well composed. Only broke traction once, and then only briefly, during a harder-than-necessary straight line acceleration in second gear.1990 Protege 4WD

I just installed a tachometer from a spare cluster in the Volvo. No more giant analogue clock. I'll miss it a little, but I really want the tachometer, so it's staying. I fiddled with illumination bulbs while I had it apart and got them both working. And I removed the bulb from the annoying shift indicator light. I don't need a light to tell me when to shift.
I'll take a picture tomorrow if I don't forget.
EDIT: I didn't forget. Here is the crappy picture I took with my phone.Last edited by me109; 02-02-2015, 04:16 PM.1990 Protege 4WD
