out here it's no big deal to register something with an out of state title, just have to go through emissions and they do a VIN verification.
not sure how it's gonna work out with my 240 since it's from a state that doesn't use titles for cars over 10 years old though...sigpic

head is off. composite head gaskets ****ing suck, there's graphite **** or whatever in at least five of the coolant passages for cylinders 1 and 2, cylinder 4 had a bunch of material missing. all the head bolts came out intact, no signs of a break in the gasket by cylinder 4, no visible cracks in the head. also **** timing chains. gonna take the head to a machine shop this week to get it magnafluxed to see if it's cracked at all, and hopefully get it back together after I get back from vacation.
also used the propellant + lighter method to set the bead on one of my Equips and mounted it, I think it needs 3-5mm more spacing to look perfect. I'll play around with some washers once I get the diff back in and get this piece of **** back on the ground.sigpic

Right now I'm working on my 94 MX-3 GS, two pistons got ****ed, not sure how but I've since grabbed another engine and I'm preparing to swap it in. When I pulled off the old water pump one of the bolts broke, I tried using one of those broken bolt extractors but it's too small. Gonna have to go get an easy out today and chop it flat, drill a hole and hammer in the extractor and try to remove it.
Anyone got any tips or anything for getting it out?
