well, in my ultimate laziness, i've been trying to sample a couple tracks out of a couple albums i was looking to buy eventually.. had i seen it fit.. and you know, after downloading 14 seperate tracks from various artists and various sources, i'm left with music that doesn't play from start to finish.. each track has noise in the middle of each track.. i'm just curious.. has anybody else had this problem with songs downloaded from kazaa? if not, what services do you use? i had thought about napster or another pay service, but i can't justify spending money on a track i can't burn .. or so i was illusioned that to do that, you would have to pay a premium .

Kazaa is the worst thing you can do to your computer. And I think what causes the noises is the limit on the amount of times somebody can share a downloaded song from Napster and Apple. I've been using Limewire for quite some time now. It automatically cancels the download when the file is corrupt or incomplete.

hmm, i used to use that.. i'll have to get a copy and try it out again. the bottom line, kazaa lite k++ wasn't that bad.. kazaa media desktop was loaded with spyware.. so downloading one, enables the other.. so forth.. so it's really not intrusive at all on my part.. spybot and ad aware don't pick anything up involving kazaa, so i'm happy. i'll give limewire a shot.. i just didn't want to have to pay for something i wasn't really going to use

Kazaa and Kazaa Lite for the past month or so has had corrupt files some of the songs will be like 30 minutes long and make funny noises other songs will play half way and then it sounds like theres a mixer n the middle.........it has pissed me off as well but also try Supernova.....

But just so you know anything you download that you do not own is still illegal

EDIT: its ten bucks a month and you can download ten gigs of data, if you go over they just charge you again(with your permission of course)

RIAA tends to put songs out like that on Kazaa themselves. It's meant to frustrate you into actually buying the CD.

I use Rizon allot for anime, and DCC works just fine.

Try www.ircspy.com it is a DCC search engine of sorts. Once you find what you want just click the link (usually something like "#5") and it loads up mIRC, connects to the server/channel, and copys the trigger to the clip board. Once the channel opens up paste the trigger in and hit enter.
