New Car

My neighbor has a 1991 Mazda Protege DX 5-speed that he's had sitting
in the yard for about 3 months now. He is a tow driver and he towed it
off for a guy he knew. The guy coulodnt pay him so he just gave the title to
him. The car broke down on the guy and it was the timing belt that broke.
Anyway, my neigbor is gonna sell it to me for $50, what it cost to tow it.

Sound like a good deal??? Only thing wrong with it is the timing belt...

It's red and has no body damage at all.

Well maybe its not the timing belt... Its the belt right on top of the engine bay next to the valve cover...

Yeah, thats a good ****in deal. ****, you could get the timing belt fixed and even sell the ****er for a few hundred if you wanted, or part it out.

Ok i know its a SOHC, if i decide to buy it and fix the belt,
is there parts for the SOHC???

and how hard is it to replace the belt??

The Only Parts For The Sohc Is The Dohc Swap.

According to my Anger Management Counselor, after 26 weeks of anger management class, I should be an expert when it comes to Anger Management...tell that to the guy who threw a starburst at my car in rush hour traffic...haha
