read the ****ing post, I was 4 or 5 cars back, and if I hit the car in front of me, then it would be MY fault provided the driver in front of me doesn't say "he left safe space and it was the bitch's fault"

I have the great people form Carmel, and Pebble Beach here, rich old people are sooo grand, not. Super old focks driving ferrari's and Maybach's, such a joke, they might as well drive a stupid tercel, as skilled as most of them drive, it would be safer for the rest of us. Actually just this morning I saw three white Lexus sports car things, the 4000lb hard top conv, one of them is my co-workers car.

The other day I was racing an explorer, yeah dumb I know, but I had to do it to merge... stupid ass was flooring it so I wouldn't get in front of him. Anyway, after I cut explorer f*ck off I was coming up on a slow moving Mercedes SL55 convertible, old dude tanning the top of his bald head. Old guy has his right turn signal on, but there is no turn, then he sort of drifts to the right of the road (one lane road), so I thought he was pulling over, I squeezed between him and a transit bus coming the other way thinking dude was moving over anyway, so I had plenty of room. As I was passing the SL55 I noticed dude moving back towards me, I was moving fast enough not to get touched, but he returned to the middle of the lane, like nothing happened. The joys of old mama jamas in expensive cars.

One more thing, here when you get up on highway, you have that sign that looks like a triagle and means that you have to let other (the ones already on highway) pass before merging. NO ONE ****ING RESCPECTS IT !!! its sooo frustrating !! GRRRR, the other day some soccermom was waving at me like 'WTF !' because I wasn't letting here pass, STUPID BITCH IT A 1 LANE !!!

depends on the traffic coming left and right...i'd rather get nailed from behind at a slower speed, than get T-boned from possible left and right sides with traffic moving alot faster.

not true, if you are at a complete stop, you are NOT at fault. This is what happened to my girl in the Jetta we had. She was at a full stop and got hit from behind and then hit the car in front, which hitthe car in front of them, at an esimated 65mph. She was not at fault. The guy that hit her was at fault for all 3 cars.

almost a year later we are still in battle over restitution cause the guy only had the bere minimum for insurance.

Yeah, I had nowhere to go, the largest space was in front of the explorer, either that or duke-it-out with a minivan. No one here likes to let anyone merge anywhere, it's a PITA and causes a lot of unnecessary traffic when people are forced into unsafe merging. I'm an impatient driver, and if someone is f'ing with me trying to get where I have to go I have no problem scaring the crap out of them. People will "ALWAYS" move out of the way if you are aggressive when you merge, it shouldn't have to be that way though. I let people in when they merge, I won't get to my destination significantly slower if I let someone merge.
