    Debt?

I was wondering, what kind of debt are you guys are in? and how do you plan to get out from under it? The reason I ask is that I am in some debt right now, nothing too serious but just enough to annoy me. I am no stranger to a maxed out credit card.

    $1700 in credit debt
4 years left on my car loan (250 per month)
    Car insurance expenses

As for getting out of the debt.. I think thats just a matter of time. Budgeting yourself is the best means necessary to lift yourself out of debt. We all have debt of some sorts.. just don't let it get so bad that you cannot pay it all off.

Live well below your means. Make sure you don’t just give up and loose all track of your debt. Have a plan and follow it closely. Take your lunch, never eat fast food. Plan your entertainment with a budget in mind.

The money in must exceed the money out, the difference X time is your expected liberation from debt. Banks are rich enough, don’t give them any more help. Get a second job if you have to, and ride a bike if you can. Pay off high interest first, and for God sake, stop going to the salon to get your hair done.

Hmm... I have a little over $2000 on both my Visa and MC (total < $4500).

Good news (for me) is that I just got a job 2 days ago. I start Monday so I just need to make sure I don't get my ass canned. If all goes well, I will be spending (all) my money on the car by June!

As far as budgetting, the best tip I can think of is to get familiar with a spreadsheet program like Excel.

List all incomming money and all your bills/forseeable expenses. You can get pretty creative with formulas to distribute your money and even graph all your expenses if you want (Pareto chart that ****!). That should give you a good visual picture about where all your money is going and what you might be able to cut out.

Oh yeah .... LOOSE THE CELL PHONE!!!!

                  Much more to come...

hhhmm i have a house payment...one car payment that will be paid off in another year. Credit Cards i have 1,300 but i pay on time. I try not to use it either....other than that its cool. I will get the credit card off of me. My other credit cards i had i paid off and i shredded them. Most of them were of coarse clothing credit cards. It was like an addiction....like coke for a cocaine addict i got my rush off of fast shopping...lol......sheesh......lol.........i still have good credit and have retirement set up as well.

The first step is to admit it lol

As for me i have roughly 4,000 but that is just because my truck and my motorcycle, i have like 2,000 or so left to pay on each but i will be done with that shortly as i dont have anything to pay on except for those 2 things

Oh boy do I know this subject oh to well!! lets see where to start...
2001 Lightning still owe $14,000 (660 a month) OUCH!! no money down (dumb move)
snap-on tools $4000 (im a toyota tech so tools are very needed)
                              Mac tools $2500
92 mustang project $never ending debt
                              CC's $4000 (damn best buy!!)
then theres a lil odds and ends. Luckly the escort is mine and everything for it is paid for. Not really worried about the debt though. You live once, have fun while you can. Way I see it no matter what you will always be in some kind of debt in your life, being car loans, or the big one a morgage.
hello 4g63 nice to meet you
