    UPS.. Need I say more?

    I despise UPS.

I ordered something from the U.S. that was quite valueable. Even though the value of the package was $1200 the guys I bought it from marked it as $500. I recieved the package about TWO WEEKS later and I was suprised to find out that I owed ups $150!!!!!!!! Why?!!?? For what?!?! Brokerage fees? What the **** is that anyway? Whatever happened to NAFTA? So what I did was pay with one of my cards that I knew definately would not be approved but since they dont ring it in down there they just write it down I could get away with it. Anyway, theyve managed to get my cell phone number and the calls have started. I talked to a girl who I can only assume sells her body to pay for her heroin addiction and she said to me "How do you plan on taking care of this today?" At which point I promptly said "I dont plan to." She seemed stunned and then said "Would you like us to send you another invoice?" And I said "Sure, go ahead."

The thing here is that I live in an apartment building and in order to get a package you have to have the street address of the buildings and a apartment number afterwards. When I got my package I went directly to the outlet because it didnt get delievered to my apartment. Apparently the people who shipped it forgot to put my apartment number on it. So how exactily do they plan on putting me in a "collection agency" without even knowing where exactily I live or even what my full name is. There is another person in my complex with the same name as me! So this sounds like a load of crap to me.

they will probably get your info from the people who shipped you the package... they will get the money from you somehow, eventually.

put a big black mark on your credit... lol

franko, in order to pick up the package you had to sign for it right? and you gave them your credit card number (whether it bounced or not, doesnt matter)? by picking up the package you agreed to pay for the brokerage fees.

Are you kidding me? They'll screw your life up so much you'll wished yo paid $150 the day you got the invoice.

How much did the box weigh? Sometimes brokerage can be a LOT of money. It was $20 on my $60 foglights, a maybe 5-8 pound box? So, if your package was really big and worth a lot, then that's possible. Imagine the brokerage fees if the box had the value of $1200.

I've found USPS to be VERY VERY good when shipping to Canada. Both times, I didn't have to pay one cent. They handed off to Canada Post I beleive, and again, there were no fees. The seller marked it as a gift. The only downside is they didn't need a signature. They just give it to whoever.

So I called the head company and asked what this is all about and found out that if I had shipped it air freight to get it overnight I would have avoided these fees alltogethor! So basically.. I would have gotten my package faster AND wouldent have been charged $150 in fees on it! This is absloute insanity! How can they get away with this?!? You ship a slower method to save money and they charge you over 30% of the value of the package you recieved. Next time Im just going to ship it overnight.. Its not even that much extra!

No car! I soldz it. Now I have a truck. I like it, but apparently it has a hard time keeping up with a slightly modified 4WD protege with half the hp. Neat.

I had ti deal with this recently. They charged me 8 bucks or something like that per item in the box. the total they wanted was 53 something and the taxes from the government was 7 dollars. I called and they halfed it. then a week later I get another invoice from them saying to pay the rest! called em and they dropped it and claimed they made a mistake. I will avoid them at all cost for any other shipments
