Club Protege Rally

Hey ive been thinking about doing the AKA Rally either next year or the year after and it got me thinking we should organize a CP rally.

plan it for like 2008. have it start on one coast and end on the other and have check points along the way and prizes for the winning teams.

just wondering what everyone is thinking on this?

canonball 3000 run. don't remember what the entry fee is, but you get to run with ferarri's lambo's other exotics. it's been a dream of mine, but a dream I can't afford. I would love to do this, except I'm already in the middle. a crappy middle. great idea, but it's even harder than organizing a national mazda meet!

most people own these cars because its what they can afford... a cheap econobox... they dont have the money to get huge tickets day after day, they dont have the money for the technology many of those rigs on gumball 3k use such as radar detectors, jammers, and police radios... because of that it simply means they are all the more likely to get more tickets.

when at the end of the rally having to get an sr22 or just not have insurance because the want 12k a year to cover your protege... its fun and maybe if we were on a lambo forum this may be able to work out, i just dont see it working out on a protege forum.

You should probably add a kick in the nuts to that slap in the face, as for speeding across country in a POS car.... ! I don't own a POS.
