I almost got an new Escort GT

New to me at least LOL. I was walking to the shopette here on Kelley Barracks when I saw it, it was at the latest a 94 EGT, green, sunroof, light hail damage, rusted to hell rear brakes, gray int.

Just what I was looking for. I have a WTB add in the local paper here but nothing so far. I went into the shopette to get the oil I needed and I wrote out a note to put on the car. As I went outside, it started to rain. At that point I thought back to what happened last time I did this and I decided to laminate the note.

10m late when I got back it was gone ,

I told one of the clerks in the shoppette about it and he told me that he thinks he knows the guy that drives the car. I left my note with him and he told me he would give it to the guy if he sees him.

Well today I ran into the car again but this time the owner was in it.

I talked to him for a while and he told me that he wont sell it now because its his only car but he also told me that he is leaving in April.

He asked for my cell number so he could call me later when he needs to get rid of it. I hope he calls me sooner! We will see. I also spotted a red EGT up in Hanau and I dropped off my info in between the wiper and winshield. I am going back to Hanau tomarrow to see if the note is still here.

The EGT was in the same place as last weekend so i dont know if it moved. I checked the plates and they were good and the brakes were not rusted. We will see!!!
