    Ford Escort EXP?

I was taking my daily trip from Winston-Salem to Greensboro to see my girlfriend, and as I was on hwy40 I came up on this late 80ish Escort, that didn't, well, look like an Escort. I saw some badging on the back, and on the rear a pillar that had "EXP" on it, and it had a somewhat factory looking body kit on it.

Was this a factory car or what? it was a older lady driving it, and the paint was peeling, so I figured, wtf is this?

Someone unconfuse me with this car.

          Was it a 1.6 or a 1.9?

the only CVH's that came with a stock turbo in the states were 1.6's. you can swap in a 1.9 and everything bolts back up though.
