deer john, thanks for the paranoia.
it made me call my credit card company at 8:00 at night drunk, and harras the poor lady who helped me about everything from what kind of rates i had, if they would adjust, and wether i should close my account or not.
it turns out that my rate is 13% witch isnt awesome, but it isnt terrable, and its non adjustable, so i should be good.

i think i may pay it down to like 50$ though.

i got all those beat! in baltimore i woke up drunk, and then started drinking again!!

so i just got a notice from my other card company (capital one) who's bumping me from 10.99 to fking 17.99. WHAT THE FK! again, never a late payment, the reason is "due to extraordinary changes in the economic environment".

at this point, maybe i will get a debt consolidation loan... i dont want to start closing accounts - supposedly closing a credit card drops your credit score ~100 points.

Have a read of the back of your monthly statement and see what it says about bumping your interest rate. I am almost sure that it can only be 5% every year unless you miss a payment and then it jumps to the max. I havent had a credit card for almost 10 years so somethings may have changed...

why not just pay it off and never use it again?
