          To the threadstarter, you do in fact have an EG. It's a chassis code, just like BG is for Proteges.

                  dude what do you expect you come to mazda forum with honda pictures and think that for one second your not going get riped no matter if its faster then all the mazda on here this is a mazda forum not a honda forum. and yes the single cam motor is great when built but then again which motor isnt great when built?

                      BTW vin has EJ in it where my buddies 93 hatch has EG so mine is infact an EJ...You can search it online and you'll see...

                                VIN =/= chassis code

                                My old Corolla had AE88 in the VIN, but it was chassis code AE86.
