Whats is the material of my differential/pin?

I'm getting my diff pin welded in place, as strongly advised by some peoples

I need to know what the diff and the pin are made of, so my guy can order the proper welding goodies

yeah i cleaned off my broken diff in the sink so i could put it on the shelf without getting everything oily.... by the time it dried it was rusty.
