I have a few tattoos. But dont have any skin conditions. The main thing that I recommend is the follow up care. Keep lotion or some other form of skin moisturizer on it at all times. Do not pick scabs should they form. Basically, its an open wound and needs to be cared for. I would leave a bandage on it for two days. It sounds like a PITA but trust me, the more care you put into it when it is fresh the better it will look when it is healed.

I have one that I didn't care for properly and its faded in places and needs touched up.
I live my life a quarter pounder at a time. And for those 500 calories or more, I'm free. I need FRIES! Two of them. The big ones. Oh, and I need them tonight. You're lucky the double shot of BBQ sauce didn't blow the seam on your nugget box. There she is, 2 pounds of pure beef. My dad ate it in 9.0 seconds flat. Check it out, it's like this. If I lose, winner takes my happy meal. But if I win, I take the burger and the toy. To some people, that's more important.

As far as care goes, every artist is going to tell you something different. I recommend listening to them, honestly. Unlike WTRG my artist told me to only leave mine bandaged for a few hours.

With how common that skin condition is... I'd talk to your artist about it. If he's worth a crap he'll be honest with you. A majority of them are just that.. artists, they're not going to try to scam you just for money. The last thing they want is a bad name. They work primarily off word of mouth. My artists is about to move up to Portland from LA and he already has a wait list primarily made up of people who like what he's done on me (including myself).

                  http://www.flickr.com/photos/sharkfighterzero/ that's his flickr account.

and that's mine, with bonus chest hair!

I have others drawn up. He's actually one of my good friend's husbands, and until I saw her tattoos I'd been way too picky (not possible when it comes to ink that is a permanent part of your body) about finding a good artist.

I'm so bummed that I have to find a new artist since my last one decided she didn't want to tattoo anymore, such a pain in the ass.

That does suck. I was so happy when my artist decided to move back to Portland instead of Seattle. I will forever be broke with my rally car, the street GTX, my bands, and my tattoo artist living in town.

I am pretty sure this is what I had to do for my tat work but it has been awhile. Bandaged for a few hours, wash it. Apply A&D & wash it like 2-3 times a day for 3 days. Apply unscented uncolored lotion or coco butter for a week or two so it doesn't dry up and peel off prematurely.

Hey josh, I have some pretty sensitive/messed up skin myself. My tattoo is fine but faded quick. I have to get mine touched up again (been 3 years) but it hasn't faded too bad. i used tattoo butter on my tattoo's.
