I find the language they are using in the thread "off" from the seriousness it takes to build that car.

language and seriousness can be displaced by money so no it wouldnt suprise me if they do own the car...lol.... deffinatly not saying they built it tho....lol..

That car was built and raced by Jeff Keisel from California. His family owns Carvin Guitars. He autocrossed it for several years before selling it and building his turbo rotary Sprite. I'm pretty sure whoever actually owns the car is not the one posting on the B20 forums. I could be mistaken, but I believe the car sold for well over $100,000. I remember seeing it at the Solo Championships in 2006.

But there's one group that everyone agrees is made up of the most extreme, the most daring, and absolutely craziest people in racing - rally racers."

I made it about a page and a half in before I lost interest from the ignorance. I dont think it was stolen, reasons:
                1) Owner dude talks like a moron.
                2) Trailer was left unattended with $XXXXXXXX in tools, parts and one of a kind racecar
                3) Trailer must not have had any form of hitch lock or wheel boot to prevent theft.

Almost anyone who has a trailer has the hitch locked when not in use. My $3000 jetski has two different types of hitch lock so for someone with a one-off racecar in a trailer to leave it unattended with no lock, I dont buy it.
I live my life a quarter pounder at a time. And for those 500 calories or more, I'm free. I need FRIES! Two of them. The big ones. Oh, and I need them tonight. You're lucky the double shot of BBQ sauce didn't blow the seam on your nugget box. There she is, 2 pounds of pure beef. My dad ate it in 9.0 seconds flat. Check it out, it's like this. If I lose, winner takes my happy meal. But if I win, I take the burger and the toy. To some people, that's more important.

yeah, I bet its insurance fraud... there are people that would steal that but you would have to be an absolute idiot to give it a shot. With the value of the stolen goods (of which they could never part and get a fraction if its actual value), you would be talking felony charges, and to take a 20' trailer is something that is kinda hard to hide for little payoff and large risk... there are people that stupid but its equally as likely he made it disappear.
There are no stupid questions, just stupid people.

I didn't even make it a page before I got a headache from the lack of grammer in there. If they are stupid enough to type like that I'm pretty sure they would be stupid enough to not lock the trailer. Maybe I didn't read far enough but how does a dude driving a beat looking Honda offer a $25k reward?

It's also rather strange that the guy posting doesn't have any updated photos of the car. It has a different number on it and the new owner replaced the rear spoiler with a wing. I think the guy on b20 is jiving everyone. The car was stolen, but not from that guy.
