i'm no longer a civilian

this morning i took the oath of enlistment for the marine corps. i ship out sept 20th. im excited. i think it will be a really great experience. im going in for military police. im doing a new program they have called the national call to service. after my training is all done, i will be active duty for 15months, so about 2yrs total with training. then i will serve 2yrs reserve. then the last 4yrs of my 8yr obligation i can either re-enlist, do reserves, or individual ready reserve(which means i can still get called up but dont have to go to drill). by doing this program, i can either get $10,000 college loan repayment, a $5000 bonus, or 12months academic pay. i'm taking the 5g's since i dont have any loans out. just wanted to share my exciting news with you all.

bah you jarhead, lol congrats man 2 years isnt bad at all, it is a great learning experiance, and a great life experiance, im in the coastguard, have been for close to 3 years now, and love it.
