2nd gen Escort with ZX2 front end. Not my car.

What an improvement, huh? Still, the rest of the car looks dated.

    That's Skuce's car I believe ... I thought it was quite neat.

Neat is an understatement. What it does for an older looking car like that is incredible. If only something could be done to the rear also. The middle would still take too much away but it would make it even nicer.

        Wow, that's pretty cool.

I'd like to see more of that.

Never thought about it with the Escort...but I always wondered what a '93-'97 626 would look like with a MX-6 front end, and vice versa.

I have a second picture but it's almost the same view of the car with a slight angle. Not worth it unless you really want it.

I added the second picture to my opening post. You'll notice it ain't much different from the first one. You do at least get more of the front so you see more of the bumper.

His car definetly is a one of a kind. It looks good on a 4dr, wonder what it would look like on a gt.

Hmmm. Has me thinking now. Msp front end on a 1st gen. Hmmm.

what if he molded in the taillights of the ZX2 as well...How might that look? You know, like people mold Supra taillights onto the back of CRXs. Only this would look better because the donor and the car are of similar proportions.

Thats why you keep it all the same instead of just ruining the car and making the rest look "dated" when it looks great stock. Well my EGT does at least as i'm not a fan of 4 doors but i sure as hell love hatches!

I have to disagree. If you could get the rear from the same ZX2 and put it on that car, it would be amazing. Yes, that center would STILL be too damn square but the more you unbox it, even if it's only the ends, the better. The rear on the Escort ZX2 is the same one you see on the regular Escort Sedan of 97+ models.

as well as the zx2 rear you could contour the wheel wells to make them more round. it looks just plain bad ass as it is though.

I'll have to disagree. I like the 2nd gens much better. I like the old, boxy ones.

That's why I love the first gen Protege.

I loved both my 94 Protys(both lost to crashes). They're still too boxy now for me but not as much as the 96 and older Escorts. I could even see myself in a 94 Protege again. That's only because of the slanted hood and headlights on the 94. I'm probably biased, though, because there's a special place in my heart for Proteges. Even though I drive and like my 2nd gen Proty better, I love seeing a well kept 1st gen on the street. Proteges are Proteges, they're all beautiful.
