I used steel wool to get the grime that was gunked on. It takes it right off. First I sprayed it with various products on it trying to get it out (sounds really safe eh?), but then got the steel wool out and tore small pieces off and it took it right off. My **** wasn't really dirty, but looked like a mist of oil was on it like dust or some ****, but seriously try it out, good stuff. I bought Simple Green for the next time and will try and keep up with it and not let it go for so long next time.2001 ES (Featured at SoundDomain)

This is something I need to do, but I admit I'm too chicken to spray the engine bay with a hose. I'll probably just pick up some Simple Green and maybe some steel wool as people have suggested, but I'm sure it would turn out better if I just went for it with the hose.-Chris
