Probably cause they're more exotic for a cop car than most we see. Or because they look as good as BMWs and Audis but just don't have the engine to back them up.

in some small ass places, that use cars like the protege for cop cars, they dont have much road to cover, like more then likely an island or something, so they dont need the big beeft crown vics.
