hey, havent been around for a while... life and work keep me busy

Though, i did find time to redo the escort

it's has been updated, but is still untuned - waiting for a bit of a warmer weather to do that enjoy:

Last picture - custom made turbo heat shield - cutout from thin sheet metal with header wrap stapled on the inside.

Are you using Nitrous? Just a guess since you have that close up of some sort of valves, but dude why place the VAF there?

i can tell that it is not a conventional GTX setup..but taht turbo looks like its in a bad spot for air/cooling reasons. And also the VAF would cause your hood not to close right no?...

Just looks like miles of uneccesary plumbing for some odd reason...maybe its the turbo's placement..

              That radiator tho'..thats hot.

EDIT: WAIT! i looked at the wrong picture!..i thought the turbo was on the side of the firewall..LOL..

but still i dunno why is your tubing all crazy like that?

compressor side of the turbo is towards the passenger side... that causes all the piping weirdness. Well to a point. the charge pipe to the intercooler is very short. enters the intercooler from the left, so its right out of the turbo. ic to throttle body is pretty straight forward. The intake pipe is so long since there is no big enough spot enroute to mount the vaf. That spot over hte manifold is the closest spot that has enough space to mount the vaf. And the hood closes... but its pretty tight. So tight in fact, that the rx7 maf which is about 1 inch taller - did not fit

and i dont know... don't think this is too much piping.... turbocharged 240s - thats alot of piping. this is nothing compared to that

oh and no, no nitrous. just turbo

Maybe if you got rid of the power steering there would be room ....

glad to see your still around Kreator.

Nice new idea for a setup, I especially like the blue annodized piping... very professional looking.
