    A little update on my current project

    Well for those of you that dont know it's a 90 crx si

    b18b bottom end
    b16 head
    gsr tranny

    gsr cams
    p30 pistons (jdm b16)
    some crappy dented up 4-2-1 header until i can get my own
    2.5" mandrel bent exh to a magnaflow muffler
    some ebay intake is pictured, it has an aem short ram for a gsr now
    act disc, pro clutch pressure plate
    aem fuel rail/fpr

    stock gsr map.. it's not tuned at all, timing is set to 16 degrees (stock)

    it made 163whp and 124 tq the a/fs were everywhere, from 6k-8k a/f went from 13:1-11:1 lol. So it's a bit rich but I'm not going to tune it yet. anyways

    here it is in it's primered glory.. my plans are to paint it in spring but that all depends on if i get another honda or something. I don't really care how it looks to be honest

    the interior.. all stock except for 98 gsr gauge cluster, gsr shift knob and factory gsr cd player

    my motor....and philips HIDs!! <3

    I rolled up with 3 other friends
    my buddy mike.. ls/vtec gm8 turbo this motor was slapped together from left over parts.. probably about $1000 into the total build including motor/turbo setup he ran a 13.3@111mph

    other buddy jordan... bone stock gsr motor, blox intake manifold, sc61 his own manifold/piping ran a 13.1@112mph and a 12.5 with some tiny ass slicks lol

    last but not least josh... built b16, gt35r, 11.9 with slicks

    was a fun day .. there will be plenty more to come esp after tax return when i buy my cams/header.

      actually that was a flatfoot shift, good ear though.. 3rd wouldn't go in if i tried to flatfoot it :/

      the escort would take a flatfoot like champ lol.

            haha thanks man. crxs are awesome cars for sure.

            bpt is better than a stock gsr without a doubt!

            but that gsr rips man.. bone stock motor except for a blox intake manifold and 8psi from an sc61 pulled that 2700+lb car though the 1/4 in 12.5 seconds. but by no means will this thread turn into a **** fest. I don't want to hear any mazda vs honda crap so don't waste anyone's time posting stupid comments like that.

                    freaking awesome dood. i've been looking for a decent civic/crx si for the right price. i thought the ls-vtec would product more hp, but i guess once you get it tuned it'll be up there.

                      mr2 ran a 14.4

                      ya my setup should be 175ish easy but it's completley untuned i'd show the map but i dont have a scanner.. the a/fs were all over the place

                            i almost purchased a 91 integra just so i can do the ls/vtec conversion. but this guy wants 2 grand for a trashed integra, the engine is a fresh b18(a or b) though.

                            go with hondata. only $600. haha


                            btw, here's my $30 civic. once i'm done with project protege's, i'm working on this beater/sleeper.lol

                              90% of the engine parts are brand new, so thats why it came out to so much. My buddy mike has almost the same setup (lower comp pistons) for like $100 because he used 2 motors we had laying around.
