    For Lex...

motor looks like it just has oil leaks... which seems ok if you're planning on rebuilding it. apart from that it looks pretty good to me. the wife/mother said they might even be able to give it away for free, because it has been sitting in their garage for about a year, and they want it out.

i think it came out of a tracer... i've been told it has 130,000kms or 170,000kms on it, i don't think they can remember.

so if you want it i can borrow a jeep and haul it to the ferry station or something

Mileage is not an issue at all since this will be a fully build forged motor.

the motor is located up in some deep bush. if you want you can go for it yourself, or i don't mind coming. plus i think they have a daughter i want to check out anyways. not sure is she's ugly or what.

you can either arrive at swartz bay, drive down the peninsula, and then head up island... kinda like a big U turn... would take about an hour

or you can drive across the peninsula to another ferry station. go across the water and arrive in millbay. it's about $15 each way. it might take about a hour too... maybe a hour and a bit depending on when the ferry leaves

i think either way they'd take the same amount of time

PS, i think i might snatch the disty if you don't mind

Ive moved a bp around and it's about 300-350lbs with everything attached. It will fit in the trunk, or at least should BUT it will be a bitch to get it in and out of the trunk. You'd need a cherry picker to do that of a few strong guys.

The best way is to get a truck or van, put a tarp down and have 2 guys to put it in the back

So how's it looking, have you talked to the people more? I'm sorry I can't give you a hand with it all before the 15th.

Yeah, I've had one in and out of the trunk, but it's not easy, and will ruin your trunk if you're not careful.

does the exhaust manifold on that one blow better than the one i have one now... you know the common one with the little strip of bar connecting the 1st and 4th runner

Yes, that tubular style exhaust manifold is a little better.
