lex... i just called him and i got it for FREE!!

he said it had valve problems... bent valves.. i asked him how if it's a non-interferance motor? said he wasn't sure

i bet it was just ticking valves or something

Awesome man - let me know how you want to work out the pickup and you can have the exhaust manifold if you want it as well - I have no use for it.

It might be ticking lifters or a collapsed lifter - in any case I'm not worried about it - that's an awesome deal to find locally.

this is the easiest and less complicated way, i think. it looks like alot of directions, but it's really not.

you drive off the ferry and unto the highway that leads straight downtown, no turn offs, no nothing. There are 2 major highways that lead downtown, one coming from the ferry terminal, and one coming from up island.

About 15 kms down the highway, you'll pass Royal Oak exit, Quadra exit, and Vanalman exit, you know you're on the right track. Shortly after you'll see McKenzie Ave exit, take a right on McKenzie Ave. follow McKenzie Ave. until you get to the other major highway. The other HWY doesn't really have a name, but once you start to get close to it, you'l see arrows pointing, "Sooke, Naniamo", that's the direction.

after driving on the other highway for about 5 minutes take the

"View Royal / Colwood Exit", as soon as you exit the road splits like a "Y", keep left.

keep driving, you'll see a "great canadian casino" on the right, car dealers on either side, etc. so after that you'll come to an intersection where you'll take a right, the road is called "Ocean Blvd."

drive on that road for about 30 seconds and it'll turn into Belmont rd. and into a 30km zone. you'll see a fire hall on the right, opposite the road (on the left) you'll see my house, it's brown. my car will be in there, my brother-in-law's red jeep, and my sister's grey altima
