the shifter linkage won't work, i'll have to modify another one. for some reason its mighty bit smaller then the usdm one right where it bolts to the tranny? no worries... theres alot of fabbing that needs to be tackled
im planning on fine tuning the setup & remaking brackets & a lower x-member for future. this will get me running & driving with finess- so right now im about as happy as a HIGH fat kid in a bakery store---Has ClubProtege helped you in someway? show your support by Contributing--- Click Here---

How to: Hybrid distributer FE3 into BP05 casing
If your Distributer is demolished but the shaft is still present & not abused this is an option for you. Extremely easy to do as well.
Tools needed:
Small punch+hammer
Dremel with sanding disc(continue the oil channel on the shaft so that it goes through the bushing in the end of the case)
Screwdrivers-Flathead/Phillips
The shaft pulls out through the inside of the distributer(I.E. you must knock out the pin & remove the cam drive pivot before you can pull it through.---Has ClubProtege helped you in someway? show your support by Contributing--- Click Here---

So whats your plan with this motor? Are you just going to clean it up and drop it in your car? Or is it getting a complete rebuild? Looks to be a fairly normal running motor with nothing majorly wrong with it, besides that it looks like its never been rev'd high to blow the crap off the valves.
And how old is the FE3? Is it in the same generation as the BP correct? early 90's?Last edited by TurboProto; 05-26-2009, 11:36 AM.

Steve, its already cleaned up. Im going to toss the F2T flywheel & a spec stage 3+ on it(soon as i can get the clutch) & drop it into the car with the F2T transmission
the FE3 is late 80's early 90's pretty close to the BP era but a little before---Has ClubProtege helped you in someway? show your support by Contributing--- Click Here---
