nah, it's just dirt. Ain't got a garage so what's the point to remove the snow if there will be more in the afternoon. Snow doesn't do anything to the car, just sits on it.Comment

now, in theory maybe. but after living in snow states all my life, I don't see this. my paint looks the same it did the day it was new, save the pealing clearcoat from sun damage and rock chips.Originally posted by MD323 View Post

I see sun damage worse than snow damage. you're more likely to see damage from a heavy snow load than freezing micro water. If your car does sit outside for long time in the winter OR summer, cover it with something, anything is better than sun/water damage.No car! I soldz it. Now I have a truck. I like it, but apparently it has a hard time keeping up with a slightly modified 4WD protege with half the hp. Neat.Comment

you live in FL, what do you know about snow and cold? j/k
I see sun damage worse than snow damage. you're more likely to see damage from a heavy snow load than freezing micro water. If your car does sit outside for long time in the winter OR summer, cover it with something, anything is better than sun/water damage.
this was actually information i learned doing autobody work in Maryland. it was one of the reasons we could cut/buff adjacent body panels and make them look like they were freshly painted. it was also the reason we stressed waxing the car after the month waiting period so that the car does not "age" differently and cause two different hues of the same color (the new panels vs the old) sun being a equally bad thing"Discontent is the first necessity of progress."
