finaly hit the dyno with the red 323

well it finally happen, i when to the dyno to tune the car. car its working good but i need to change the vacum line for the wastegate closer to the turbo so i dont get boost spike and change my wideband away from the turbo because it too close and wont last long. first run was a peaking at 9 psi with basic timing and the other its peaking at 14 psi with a little bit more timing. i will post a video later but here a pic.

that exhaust is really hurting your set up. I bet you will gain 20-25 + whp if you get at least a 2.5" exhaust or bigger. Also what cams are you using? Adjustable cam gears? I like the torque

i'm going to built a shorter exhaust that exit to the back of the front wheel for when i go to drag. i will test it on the dyno to see if i can get more hp.

i dont have cam gear, i should. i'm runing gtx cam.

exhaust will do it, your current setup is very close to what my cayman put out on the BP26 ECU, with a VJ20, Corksport DP, and 2.5" Exhaust I did 198whp 219tq

yea exhaust will really open up the car, same if you were to tune your intake cam.

are you running the stock cast elbow? I bet you can throw down an extra 15whp if you did a divorced downpipe and larger exhaust...i've seen people go 3" exhaust and 2.5" exhaust on the vj-20 without issues...i'd recommend 2.5" mandrel bent tho...trubendz has some nice piping for cheap too.

Another thing that would help would be to overbored the throttle body and port the intake manifold runners and smooth them out.

exhaust will open it up more yes. but no 20-25whp! that is crazy talk.

nice numbers forsure. would really like to see them with you do open up the exhaust. im guessing more like 15-20 crank hp from a new exhaust.

my red car was 209whp & 226wtrq with 3" exhaust and a CS downpipe. that is the only difference i really see between yours and mine.

i have seen a few guys pull 210/211 whp but none have had higher torque. infact those gusy doing the hp numbers had had torque in the high 210's. so its a weird game out there.

Great results! The exhaust won't help too too much on the little VJ20. A downpipe has a much more significant impact.
