Oh you pervs....
In late May my girlfriend and I celebrated our 3 year anniversary with a 2-day getaway on the coast, and I had my cam with me (it's STILL not what you think
) - this is some of the footage we shot to and from.
Hwy 1 is one of the most amazing roads in the world - I've had the privilege of driving from San Francisco to L.A. on it in the past, it's just incredible as far as a 'car guy' road is concerned.
The car is a bone stock 1999 Protege, 1.6L 5sp, but it was very spry - however, I did have to behave as I had the lady in the car (and it's her car to boot) and the route was pretty well patrolled.
I loved the combination of sunshine over the water with the fog rolling in off the mountains, and beach/cliff scenery, as well as the never ending scenery.
Sorry about the sudden ending at 3:51, the damn video software kept crashing and I said '**** it' and just got this much done.
What you see is a snippet of about 3 hours of driving in those conditions. If my patience returns I'll make a slightly more expanded version, which includes rear-facing camera angles and higher resolution.
The camera is a GoPro Hero HD, the resolution (before the compression and edit work) was 720x1280 wide angle.
I hope the next video I shoot on HWY 1 should be off the 323!
Enjoy!
