I think that I'm only member with diesel 323F (Protege5)

For now, car has only 101 hp, but with some chiping and changing ECU it can be raised up to 130-150hp....

Some statistics about engine:
Engine: 2.0 DITD (direct injection turbo diesel)
HP: 74/101 hp
max torque: 230 nm 1900/3000 rpm
max speed: 190 km/h, driven 205 km/h
0-100 km/h: 12 sec; with chip will be around 9, or mayebe even under

2 ne3ek: in driving, limiter is on 4600 rpm, but after 3500 rpm doesn't have any more power..... all power is between 1900-3000/3200 rpm

jep... only 100 hp, mazda 6 in europe has diesel versions of 120 hp and 136 hp, new mazda 3 has 1.6L engine (Ford's TDCi with 110 hp)..... version before mine has only 90 hp

only 100hp, but how much torque does it have down low? most small diesels I have driven have a decent amount of torque. The big 4 cylinder (3.9L) diesel on one of the trucks I get to drive only has ~100 HP, but it does have ~220lbft of torque Not a bad engine for a GVWR of 9,000lbs... of course it also has a real low gear set :p

yea diesels make god loads of torque, the 6cylinder cummins turbo diesel in the dodge rams have 600lb-ft of torque stock, and with mods they get up to 1200lb-ft...its crazy.

In my country turbo diesels are very popular, my friend has Seat Ibiza TDI sport with 130 hp (max torque 330nm at 2500), after few mods he has now 160-65 hp with 420nm of torque... acceleration from 0-100 is ver good, under 9 seconds, for 1/4mile need only 15 sec. which is very good for diesel

If Mazda ever releases anything diesel powered in the US whether it be a Mazda 3 or something like that, I would buy it in a heartbeat. Very cool Protege, always wondered what the engine bay looked like in a diesel powered 323f.

sweet i also heard the old 323's/ maybe a 1st gen having a diesel. but it was so rare only a few hand fulls wer made. and it was in Canada?!? i forget. but thats an awsome car dude.
